May 3-4, 2008:

 

1) Tyler Cox - Carthy Bouressa (the U9 Girls commissioner) stopped by just to find out the name of the referee that she saw work two games because she thought he called great games.

2) Jordan Smith - he was awesome and really saved me. I was actually trying to run the whole operation at Slaughter Creek and Jordan did a fantastic job of assisting me when paying referees, running errands around the fields, handling parents at the tent, and just bringing stability to the craziness of three simultaneous tournaments.

3) Courtney Lee - parent stopped by to compliment her on how well she AR'd her semi-final game on Sunday.

4) Matthew Schneider - compliment from a coach and two parents on officiating for Sunday U12B semi-final and final matches. I actually got a chance to see this one myself and he was right on the dot for every single call I saw him make. This game went on to an overtime period and he handled it extremely well.

5) Glen Taylor - one coach and one parent stopped by to compliment his handling of a U12 girls match that would have gotten out of hand without his experience and ability to take control of a situation.
